Bringing more than six years of restaurant expertise to Oak Steakhouse Atlanta, La’Davione “Lala” Hellams delivers a diverse culinary palate to the plate along with a strong camaraderie to the kitchen, where he currently serves as sous chef for the Alpharetta steakhouse.

Prior to his time at Oak Steakhouse, Hellams’s zeal for the kitchen led him to the Art Institute of Charleston, earning a Bachelor’s degree in culinary management. He quickly found himself helming the kitchen at another Indigo Road Restaurant Group staple: The Macintosh, an award-winning restaurant on Charleston’s bustling King Street. In 2018, he made the move to Atlanta, where he joined the kitchen crew at Oak Steakhouse.

Currently, Hellams lives in Lawrenceville with his wife, Brandolyn; son, Aidex; and daughter, Harper. When he is not at Oak, he enjoys playing sports, weight training and spending time with his puppy, Jinx.
